USAF selects IAP Worldwide for a global mission that runs up to 2025
The organization has picked IAP to support DoD’s counter narcotics and global threats operations and logistics. The contract that is valued at $975 million. The CEO and director of the firm, Douglas Kitani, confirmed that the organization is ready to support the operation globally. This contract mandates the firm to provide equipment, material, minor constructions and other services. This is aimed at improving the U.S and partner countries’ capability in fighting threats of illegal drugs, piracy, and crime among others.
IAP acquires business units from DRS Technologies, Inc.
It was on newspaper headlines on 04/11/2015 that the company bought two key units as part of its long-term growth strategy. The organization acquired Aviation and Logistics business situated in Oklahoma City and Tactical Communications & Networks Solutions located in Aberdeen. This step was aimed at increasing the company’s competency in service delivery.
Kitani added that the new properties will mostly serve the governments’ services segment. He said it is a sign of the organization’s long-term commitment in serving its customers. Further, Douglass acknowledged the support of his investors and the board.
Employee earns famous award
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) awarded IAP fisheries scientist Kelli O’Donnell as the 2015 National Marine Fisheries Service Team Member of the year. This award is specifically given to non-NOAA federal employees to recognize their contribution to the nation. She was acknowledged for being instrumental in educating dealers on electronic reporting. Her initiative has eliminated incomplete and untimely data challenges. O’Donnell’s efficient customer service resolved incorrect data reporting by 95%.
Kelli is a marine biology graduate from Florida Institute of Technology. She is currently pursuing her Master’s program in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at university of Florida. She is also an instructor in same university on protection and conservation of local flora and fauna. Kelli volunteers her services in sea turtle nesting and shorebird rooftop nesting surveys with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. She is an affiliate of several conservation organizations and has attended key workshops on wildlife protection.
