On December 28, 2017, Soft Group Corp. announced the completion of acquiring the Fortress Investment group for $3.3 billion in cash. SBG now wholly owned all the subsidiaries and the outstanding shares belonging to Fortress. SoftBank pledged in the maintenance of the leadership, brand, employees, process, and culture that led to the success of Fortress.
